Meet Shadow! This 1-year-old, 45-pound bundle of affection is a Black Lab and Pitbull mix who's eager to be your best friend. Shadow is a playful pup who loves tug-of-war and can entertain herself with toys, but she also adores a good cuddle session and is a big fan of booty scratches. She's already potty-trained and knows simple commands, making her a smart and trainable companion. She walks well on leash for 10-20 minutes a day and is very treat-motivated, which will make training a breeze. Shadow is ready to bring light and love into her forever family!
Ideal Home
Shadow would do best in a home with a yard where she can play, but an apartment is also an option as long as she gets plenty of exercise and enrichment. She enjoys the company of other dogs and would likely thrive with a calm, medium-energy canine friend to play with and help build her confidence. A cat-free home is preferred, as Shadow can get a little too excited around felines. Given her bouncy nature, older children would be the best fit for this playful puppy.
Ongoing Health
Shadow is up-to-date on all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, and flea prevention. She will also receive a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative and will be tested and treated for heartworm if necessary.
Training & Support
Shadow is eager to learn and already knows how to sit. She is still working on her leash manners, which is typical for her age and will improve with consistency and training. Her treat motivation will make training a fun and rewarding experience.
