Dewey

Dewey is a 4.5 month old, 25 lb male Blue Heeler/Coonhound mix with an adorable spotted coat and big, floppy ears. He was sadly found abandoned but quickly charmed his way into a foster home where he's been learning all about being a beloved pet. Dewey is a sweet and affectionate pup who loves to give little kisses. He's busy with typical puppy activities like exploring the yard, playing with the resident cats and dogs, and chasing toys. He's a smart boy who's picking up new things quickly, though he's still learning that shoes aren't chew toys! Dewey can be a bit timid around loud noises but is generally brave. He's working on his leash manners and enjoys having space to explore and use his nose.

Ideal Home

Dewey would thrive in a home with a secure, fenced yard where he can explore and satisfy his hound instincts. He'll need a family with a reasonable activity level to help him burn off his puppy energy, followed by plenty of snuggle time.

Ongoing Health

Dewey will be neutered prior to transport.

Training & Support

Dewey is crate trained and doing well with potty training. He is learning basic obedience and leash manners. He's a smart pup and eager to please, so with consistency and patience, he'll continue to learn quickly.

Dewey is currently located in South Texas. Transportation to his new home is available to multiple states on the East and West Coast, including Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Connecticut, and Virginia, with placement directly in your home.
