About Lark

Get ready to fall in love with Lark, a stunning and unforgettable girl with mesmerizing "split" eyes—warm brown above and icy blue below. She's approximately 1-2 years old and weighs about 20 lbs. Lark is a total people-dog who craves attention and thrives on connection. Ear scratches are her absolute favorite, and she'll happily soak up all the love you're willing to give. She enjoys exploring the world by your side, and walks and outdoor time are her happy place. While she's still figuring out toys, she's shown some interest in Nylabones and may blossom into a playful pup as her confidence grows. Lark is incredibly gentle and tolerant, with a calm, loving demeanor that makes her easy to handle and a joy to be around. She's eager to please and will usually come when called, though she does have a bit of a mischievous streak and has been known to sneak through doors if given the chance. She can be a little shy when meeting men, but with a moment and some kind words, she'll quickly warm up and show her loving personality. Lark is not driven by food, aggressive in any way, and is full of gentle affection—she's the definition of a loyal companion, simply looking for someone to love her wholeheartedly, and she'll give that love right back tenfold.

Ideal Home

Lark would prefer to be your one-and-only pet, where she can bask in all the affection without having to share. She absolutely needs a securely fenced yard with at least a 6-foot privacy fence, as she is a runner. She also prefers to sleep in a bed, so adopters should be willing to allow this for a happy dog.

Ongoing Health

Lark has not yet been fully vetted, but this will be done soon.

Training & Support

Lark is mostly housebroken and does well in a crate, though she may protest briefly before settling in. She loves walks and does pretty well on a leash but needs more work in this area. She will need a watchful eye and continued training to help her shine, especially regarding her tendency to sneak through doors.
