Milo

Milo is a sweet, shy boy who is learning to trust and gain confidence in his foster home. He was initially scared of his new surroundings but has made great progress with the help of his patient foster family and resident dogs. Milo is affectionate and friendly and is blossoming into a wonderful companion. He loves to sleep in bed with his foster mom and her other dogs, and is happy to entertain himself with toys if he wakes up during the night.

Ideal Home

Milo needs a quiet home with a predictable routine and no sudden changes. He requires a securely fenced backyard and a home with older, respectful children who understand the importance of gentle handling and keeping him safe. He must have at least one friendly, well-socialized canine companion to help him learn and feel secure. Due to being a high flight risk, a significant plan to prevent escapes is essential. Baby gates will be needed in vulnerable areas, and garage doors must be closed before moving between the garage and the house.

Ongoing Health

Milo is on medication to help him sleep soundly through the night.

Training & Support

Milo is still working on potty training and is improving, with more successes happening outdoors. He is also learning to use the dog door and needs further training for leash walking. His foster family is working on establishing a potty routine by taking him outside every few hours.
