Elle

Sweet Elle was rescued just hours before she was scheduled to be euthanized at Downey Shelter. She's a loving and energetic girl with a real eagerness to please and learn from her person. Elle arrived to us quite emaciated and is currently at 54 pounds, though she still has a little more weight to gain to reach her ideal. She's already house trained and crate trained, and she knows "sit" very well. Elle also walks nicely on a leash, though she could use a little more practice with pulling. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, but she does need a day or two to get accustomed to new canine companions. While she's good with smaller dogs, she can play a bit too rough, so a larger, young dog to play with and keep her company would be ideal.

Ideal Home

Elle would love a home with a bigger young dog to play with, as she tends to play a bit rough with smaller dogs.

Ongoing Health

Elle had a very small umbilical hernia that will be addressed if she ever needs anesthesia for another procedure, such as a dental cleaning in the future. We prefer not to put her under anesthesia for something minor at this time. She is spayed, up-to-date on all vaccinations (including rabies), and microchipped.

Training & Support

Elle knows "sit" well and is house and crate trained. She's also good on a leash but could benefit from some additional training to reduce pulling.
