Jenny, also known as Ladybug, is a wonderfully sweet and intelligent approximately one-year-old pup! She was born in a hoarding situation and, along with her siblings, managed to stay hidden, which means she didn't get a lot of early socialization. Jenny believes all creatures exist to play with her and is eager for canine companions to share her world. She is incredibly food motivated and enjoys being spoken to. She's mastered "going to bed" on command and is a champion in her kennel. She is also reliably housetrained! Ladybug is a true "dog's dog" and thrives when following the lead of other dogs. While she's happy to receive treats from people, she is not yet comfortable with being touched or petted. However, she's making great progress daily! She's even started to cuddle up to legs on the couch, provided she isn't being touched or observed. Her happy dance when her foster parent wakes up, returns home, or when she thinks she's gotten away with something mischievous is absolutely adorable. Her foster parent encourages her bravery and exploration with food puzzles and new toys, celebrating her independent spirit. While she may currently be content as a companion to other animals and a charming decorative piece, with time and patience, Jenny will undoubtedly blossom into one of the most loyal companions. All she needs is love and understanding.
Ideal Home
Jenny would thrive in a home with other confident, resident dogs who can show her the ropes. She needs a patient and understanding family who will allow her to warm up on her own terms and not push for interaction.
Ongoing Health
Jenny is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations.
Training & Support
Jenny is housetrained and knows "go to bed" on command. She is still learning to trust people and is not yet comfortable with petting or handling. Continued positive reinforcement and allowing her to approach on her own terms will be key to her continued progress.
