Axel Rose

Meet Axel Rose, a handsome 26lb Basenji/Terrier Mix with an estimated birthday of April 5, 2024. Axel is looking for a loyal sidekick with a big personality and an even bigger heart! He's the perfect size for adventures, cuddles, and everything in between. This friendly boy loves other dogs of all sizes and enjoys making new canine friends wherever he goes. Axel has a unique way of introducing himself; he likes to "talk" and will happily let you know he'd love some attention. Once you walk over and say hello, his barks quickly turn into tail wags and affection. He simply wants to be noticed and loved. Axel is potty trained and does well inside the home. One of his favorite activities is relaxing on the couch while watching the world go by through the window, but he also loves running zoomies in the backyard and stretching his legs outdoors. Axel's story began when he was discovered abandoned inside an empty apartment. Thankfully, a compassionate foster stepped up and gave him a second chance at life. Despite being left behind, Axel remains incredibly loving, trusting, and ready to find a family who will never leave him again. We don't yet know how Axel feels about cats, but he can be kitty-tested for interested adopters. Training & Support

Transporation

Axel is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included in the adoption fee and can include pickup locations in nearby towns or states. Wags coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are also available to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport.
