Walle is a sleek, black and tan hound mix with a heart of gold and a personality ready to melt yours! He's an adult male, estimated to be born in December 2020, weighing around 45 lbs. Walle arrived at our sanctuary as a stray, and his initial shyness made him vulnerable. Thankfully, we saw his gentle spirit and brought him into our care.
When you first meet Walle, he might be a little reserved, but a few tasty treats and some kind words will quickly help his shyness fade away. Once he trusts you, he's a loyal companion for life! Unlike some hounds who are always on the go, Walle is more relaxed and laid-back. He enjoys a good romp in a fenced yard but also loves to snuggle up on his bed and take it easy. He's even been called the best "spooner" around – if you stretch out on his doggy bed, he'll mold himself perfectly around you! Walle has shown great progress and is now a pro at using the doggy door to access his outdoor yard. We believe he has had limited life experiences, so there will be many new and exciting "firsts" for him with his future family.

Walle would thrive in a quiet home with a family who will introduce him to new experiences at a pace he's comfortable with. A home with another well-balanced dog would be a huge asset, as they can help show him the ropes of household living. A steady routine, a loving person with a pocketful of treats, and a canine friend would create the perfect environment for Walle to blossom.

Training & Support
Walle can be a bit awkward with other dogs initially, as he may not have had much prior playtime experience. However, he is a quick learner and enjoys having another dog around to mimic and learn from. He is polite and calm, and his playful side is starting to emerge as he chases balls and acts goofy.
