Jimmy is a happy-go-lucky, energetic boy who wakes up every day ready to make friends—both human and canine! At 1.5 years old and weighing 45 pounds, this neutered male Pitbull Terrier mix is in a foster home in Houston, Texas, and is ready to find his forever family. Jimmy has two speeds: full throttle and full snuggle. He's playful, curious, and full of life, always eager for a game or a good romp with a canine pal. He's also incredibly affectionate and thrives on physical touch and companionship, often found resting his head in his favorite person's lap.
Ideal Home
Jimmy would thrive in an active home where he gets plenty of exercise, attention, and affection. While a yard is a bonus, what matters most is engagement and companionship. He would love a work-from-home human or an active family who will include him in daily life. Another playful dog could be a great match, especially if they enjoy high-energy play. He may be too enthusiastic for very young children without supervision and has not been tested with cats, but may be likely to chase at this stage.

Jimmy is generally healthy and has no known ongoing health conditions.
Training & Support
Jimmy is still polishing his leash manners, as he can pull when excited and is very curious about his surroundings. With consistency and some solo walks, he'll continue to improve quickly, as he is very food- and praise-motivated and eager to learn. He is fully house-trained with only minor early adjustment issues. Crate training is a work in progress, but he's making great strides and beginning to see it as a safe space. He can be left alone for moderate periods (4-6 hours), especially with another dog companion. He does not exhibit resource guarding, though he does think every toy is the best toy.
