Niko Bear the Easy Going Sweetheart

Niko Bear looks like he belongs in an action movie with his rugged, handsome exterior and impressive size. But beneath that tough-guy facade is one of the sweetest, gentlest souls you'll ever meet – a true teddy bear at heart! This approximately 4-year-old, 74-pound Pittie/Shepherd mix (though breed and age are never guaranteed with rescues) has a calm, easygoing nature that brings a sense of peace to any home. He's not one for constant excitement; instead, he's perfectly content to mosey through life, enjoying the simple pleasures like a good nap and the company of his favorite people. Niko can take a moment to warm up to new people, but once he does, he'll lean his whole body weight into you with the softest eyes, showing his affection in the most heartwarming way.

Ideal Home

Niko would be happiest in a home with a backyard where he can enjoy moseying around outdoors at his own pace.

Training & Support

Niko is potty trained and has excellent house manners. He is still building confidence with crate training, but is improving daily and is not destructive. He is working on his leash skills and is becoming more comfortable.

For Canadian adopters, pick-up is in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
