Jeb

Jeb is a handsome guy, approximately 4 years old, who arrived with his family in May 2021. He and his brother Justice had a rough start, never having been socialized to people, and were extremely fearful. Thankfully, Jeb has been slowly making progress in his foster home! He sleeps in a dog bed in the bedroom and has learned the routines well, often following the resident golden retriever, Percy. Jeb eats well, especially his favorite hotdog treats, and has learned to snatch them up before the other dogs can! He has been wonderful with all dogs introduced and shows interest in visiting humans, sometimes seeming to herd them like a Border Collie, which is quite amusing! Jeb appears to be house-trained, with only two accidents occurring after very long nights of sleep. He is welcome to stay in his foster home as long as needed.

Ideal Home

A home with at least one other confident and friendly dog is strongly recommended, and a fenced yard is required. Jeb is not yet comfortable with leashing and leashed walking.

Training & Support

Jeb is still learning to feel comfortable around people and new things. He is timid but does not display aggression. Patience, persistence, and gentle handling will be key to his continued acclimation to household living.

Transportation

Jeb is located in his foster home and can be met there. Adopters must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet him; out-of-state adoptions are possible, but transport or shipping is not provided.
