About Robin

Robin is a happy girl who loves to play but also enjoys her downtime. She can be quite timid when she first meets new people, but she absolutely craves attention once she feels comfortable. We estimate her to be around 3 years old and she weighs approximately 45-50lbs.

Robin's story is a sad one; she was found dumped in a remote park in April, along with another German Shepherd mix named Batman. Thankfully, she's been in a loving foster home since then, which has done wonders for building her confidence and trust in people.

Ideal Home

Robin would thrive in a home with another playful dog, and her absolute favorite companion would be Batman, who is also available for adoption! While they can certainly be adopted separately, they'd be overjoyed to be reunited. A very secure, fenced yard is a must, as Robin is a flight risk and can never be taken off-leash outside of a contained area. We also strongly recommend using a double-clipped harness and leash setup for walks. Robin has a strong prey drive, so homes with no cats or only indoor cats are preferred. If you do have cats, slow introductions are recommended, ensuring the cats have an escape route. Children in the home should be dog-savvy and mindful of ensuring doors are kept closed.

Ongoing Health

No specific health conditions have been noted at this time.

Training & Support

Robin has a strong prey drive that extends to small critters, but she has done well with cats indoors. We advise caution if a cat were outdoors and encountered her prey drive. She is a run risk and requires a secure yard and careful handling on walks.
