Roxy is a gorgeous, approximately 2-year-old, 48 lb girl who is as sweet as they come! With her long legs, she's like a graceful gazelle, absolutely adorable and full of personality. Roxy was found in January 2026, fending for herself in a cemetery with many other dogs. Thankfully, she's now in a short-term sanctuary in South Texas, safe and sound, eagerly awaiting her forever home.
This amazing girl is a big cuddler who loves to be right next to her human, snuggling up whenever possible. She's a loyal shadow, devoted to her people. Roxy also adores other dogs, both big and small, and enjoys chasing the farm pigs – don't worry, she's gentle with them! Her favorite activities include playing with toys and going on adventures. She is crate trained but prefers not to be crated when left alone, which she handles well by quietly chilling. Roxy is great with well-behaved children.
Ideal Home
Roxy would thrive in a medium-active home with other dogs to play with and tire herself out. Someone who can provide regular playtime, exercise, and training will help this almost perfect girl shine.
Ongoing Health
Roxy is spayed, current on vaccinations, and has been treated for heartworm. She will need to remain on heartworm prevention for 12-16 months and be retested afterward. She is microchipped and up-to-date on flea/tick and dewormer prevention. She will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport.
Training & Support
Roxy is an escape artist who loves to explore, often venturing into the woods with her doggy friends. While she comes back immediately when called, adopters should be mindful of her adventurous spirit.
