Sparta

Sparta is a handsome young pup ready to find his forever family! He's a blend of Belgian Shepherd/Malinois and German Shepherd Dog, and at his current size, he's considered medium. Sparta has been raised in our puppy foster program, so he's had plenty of exposure to adults, children, and other dogs. He may have even met a cat or two! Puppies 16 weeks and older have also participated in our "Reading to Rescue Pups" program and attended many community events, making him a well-socialized and confident companion.

Ideal Home

Sparta would thrive in a home where he can continue to learn and grow. He's used to interacting with a variety of people and animals, so a home that can provide him with continued socialization would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Sparta has received a wellness exam from a licensed veterinarian. He has been dewormed and received age-appropriate vaccinations for parvo/distemper and Bordetella. If he is 4 months or older, he will also have his rabies vaccination. He is microchipped and registered with 911PetChip. We require that Sparta be spayed/neutered at 6-8 months old (or the appropriate age for giant breeds) by our veterinarian, with the procedure covered by the adoption fee. Alternatively, you can choose to have it done by your own vet, and a portion of the cost will be refunded upon proof.

Training & Support

As a puppy, Sparta is still learning and will benefit from continued training and positive reinforcement. His early exposure to different environments and people suggests he's well on his way to being a great companion!
