Meet Portia, a sweet 43lb Siberian Husky Mix with an estimated birthday of 04/29/2016. This gentle senior girl is proof that the best things in life only get sweeter with age! Portia is looking for a loving family to spend her golden years with, one where she can enjoy the comfort, safety, and affection she deserves. She's a wonderful house companion who enjoys simply being near her people, happy to just spend time by your side whether you're relaxing on the couch or watching TV. Portia is fully potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, and gets along beautifully with dogs, cats, and children. Like many senior pups, Portia moves a little slower these days, but she still enjoys heading outside for leisurely strolls and fresh air. Her appetite remains excellent, and she would gladly choose a tasty meal of canned food over kibble any day of the week!

Transporation
Transport is included in the adoption fee! We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
