Spike is a goofy, smart, and playful guy who is just so grateful to be alive! He was rescued from a high-kill shelter in West Texas and has been receiving life-saving heartworm treatment while making friends and enjoying life. Now, his biggest wish is to find his very own family! He's good with other dogs, but he is a dominant boy, so he would do best as an only dog or with a submissive canine companion. As a Husky, Spike is active and needs a family who understands the breed's needs, especially their knack for escaping and their impressive shedding! He dreams of leaving the Texas heat behind and would absolutely love cooler weather. Spike is ready for his forever home!
