About Hugo

Meet Hugo! This striking, solid black Labrador is 3 years old and weighs in at a muscular 65 pounds. Hugo has an unparalleled love for water; if there's a puddle, pond, hose, or lake nearby, he'll find it in seconds! He's a highly active boy who truly thrives when he has a job to do or training to focus his athletic energy. Structure, enrichment, and consistency are key to helping him shine, and he's an eager learner when given direction. Sadly, at just one year old, Hugo was abandoned and labeled "too crazy," when in reality, he was simply a young puppy full of life. Now more mature, he's searching for a family willing to teach him the ways of being a well-mannered house dog and provide the stability he missed early on. With patience, plenty of outlets for his energy, and lots of water adventures, Hugo will undoubtedly grow into an incredible, loyal, and joyful companion, always ready for the next splash-filled adventure! Hugo is ready for his second chance and his forever family.
