Meet Siku! This bright, energetic boy is figuring out the joys of being a pet dog and is doing a fantastic job! Siku is smart, curious, and very food-motivated, making him a joy to train. He already knows his name and can sit, and he's always eager to engage with his humans. Siku came to us from a difficult situation; the scarring on his nose is a reminder of the frostbite he endured before rescue. Despite his past, Siku is a resilient, affectionate, and lively pup who's ready to embrace his future.
He adores his walks and gets visibly excited at the sight of a leash! Siku walks well on leash and loves to explore, so he'd thrive in a home that can offer plenty of outdoor adventures. While he has a medium-to-high energy level, he's also learning to settle down when the household is calm. Siku is currently living with another dog and, after a brief adjustment, now happily plays and interacts. He can be a bit boisterous when initiating play but is generally respectful. He may or may not need a canine sibling in his new home, but if he has one, slow introductions and supervision will be key.
Siku is still mastering a few skills. He's working on his house training and building positive associations with his crate. He's currently fed separately and enjoys supervised sharing of treats and chews. Be warned, he's also a bit of a counter surfer! Once Siku trusts you, he's incredibly affectionate, offering gentle kisses and sweet nose nibbles. He loves to be near his people and forms bonds quickly. He hasn't been left alone yet, so his new family should be prepared to help him build his independence gradually.
Ideal Home
Siku would do best with an adopter who enjoys training, understands adolescent dog behavior, and is ready to provide structure, consistency, and patience.

Training & Support
Siku is still a work in progress with house training and crate training. He is also a counter surfer and hasn't been left alone yet, so he'll need gradual independence building.
