Skye

Skye is a 1½-year-old intact female German Shepherd/Husky mix who is loving, playful, and energetic. She was purchased from a private party as a puppy and has grown up with a young boy. Skye is healthy and received her distemper/parvo vaccinations as a puppy. She will need her DHPP booster and an initial rabies vaccination. While Skye can be shy and uneasy with strangers initially, she warms up with affection. She is wonderful with children and other dogs, enjoying play at the dog park. However, Skye is not good with cats.

Ideal Home

Skye would thrive in a home that can provide her with plenty of exercise and attention. A home without cats is a must.

Ongoing Health

Skye is healthy and up-to-date on puppy vaccinations. She will need her DHPP booster and an initial rabies vaccination. As she is intact, a $300 spay deposit is required, which will be fully refunded once proof of spay surgery within 90 days is provided.

Training & Support

Skye is housetrained and sleeps in a crate. She has had basic obedience training and knows commands like sit, lay, roll over, place, and speak. She walks well with a no-pull harness but tends to pull without it, especially when excited by other dogs. Skye would benefit from continued leash and off-leash training. She enjoys interactive games like "Find It" and playing fetch, though she doesn't always retrieve the ball.
