Mia is a 4-year-old black and tan hound who weighs 58 pounds and brings big personality wherever she goes. She’s got that classic hound spirit: nose to the ground, tail in the air, and plenty to say about the adventure. Mia is energetic, strong on leash, and always ready for action—whether it’s a long sniff-filled walk or a lively game of fetch. She absolutely thrives on attention and will happily soak up all the love you’re willing to give. Social, playful, and full of life, Mia is the kind of dog who keeps every day interesting.

Ideal Home

Mia would do best with older children. Her compatibility with cats is currently unknown, so a meet-and-greet is required for any resident dogs.

Ongoing Health

Mia is available through our foster-to-adopt program, meaning she can start settling into your home while finishing up her vetting. This includes updated vaccines, a microchip, and heartworm testing.

Training & Support

Mia is strong on leash and always ready for action, so she would benefit from continued leash training.
