Cooper

Cooper is a happy, snuggly hound with a heart as big as his floppy ears! He's a gentle, middle-aged Coonhound mix, around 4-6 years old and weighing about 65 lbs. Cooper thrives in a calm, predictable home where he can shower his people with affection. He's well-mannered and loves nothing more than curling up beside you after a good walk. You'll fall in love with his adorable dinnertime dance! Cooper is fully house and crate trained, settling comfortably into a routine. He sleeps soundly in his crate at night and relaxes when his humans are away. He comes when called and enjoys leisurely walks to stretch his legs and sniff the world, after which he's content to settle in for quiet companionship.

Ideal Home

Cooper would be happiest in a home with adults or older children who are easy for him to predict. He does best as the only dog in the home. Because Cooper can clear a 4-foot fence, he needs either a securely fenced yard (5 feet or higher) or a family member who is regularly available to take him on walks for exercise and enrichment.

Ongoing Health

Cooper has a managed kidney condition that is well controlled with medication, a kidney-friendly diet, and regular potty breaks (about every 3 hours). He handles this routine beautifully and continues to enjoy life fully.

Training & Support

Cooper is house and crate trained and comes when called. He settles well when left alone and enjoys routine.
