Meet Boon! If you're looking for a dog who lives life at full speed and brings joy wherever he goes, Boon is your guy! This happy-go-lucky boy has a zest for life that's impossible not to smile at. Whether he's chasing a ball, tossing around a toy, or simply soaking up time outside, Boon approaches every adventure with pure enthusiasm. He was found as a stray, walking on the highway, and was described as being good in the care of the finder.
Boon is a big, strong, playful pup who would thrive with an active family ready to help him channel all that excitement. He's still working on his manners; he can get a little jumpy when he's excited and sometimes forgets just how big he is, earning him the affectionate title of a "bull in a china shop." But it's all in good fun, and his goofy personality shines through in everything he does. He already knows "sit," is incredibly food motivated, and will happily work for treats, making him a great candidate for continued training. Volunteers describe Boon as a blast to spend time with. He loves toys of all kinds, from soft discs to tennis balls, and would likely make an excellent jogging or hiking companion. Even with busy streets, fire trucks, and helicopters nearby, Boon stayed confident and unfazed, showing that he takes new experiences in stride. He's also been social with other dogs, offering appropriate greetings through the fence and showing interest without poor manners. As energetic as he is, Boon has a softer side, too. After romping around the yard, he happily wandered over, rested his head in his volunteer's lap, and soaked up all the affection he could get. It's moments like those that remind everyone that beneath his playful, bouncy exterior is a sweet dog who loves people just as much as he loves fun. If you're looking for a loyal sidekick with a big personality, an even bigger heart, and enough enthusiasm to keep life exciting, Boon is ready to bring endless smiles, adventures, and cuddles to his forever home.
