Katy

Meet Katy! This 3-year-old, 74lb German Shepherd is ready to find her forever family after a difficult start. Her loving owner passed away, and sadly, Katy found herself pregnant and abandoned. She's a resilient girl who successfully weaned her six puppies and is now looking for a special home to call her own. Katy is house-trained, crate-trained, has excellent recall, and knows her basic commands. She's incredibly loyal and eager to please, often finding joy in simply making her people happy.

Ideal Home

Katy would thrive in a home with people who have previous German Shepherd experience and are committed to continuing her socialization and exercise. She's athletic and loves walks, runs, and swimming, but is equally content lounging with her favorite person. She has done well in her foster home without a fence, even excelling on off-leash adventures.

Ongoing Health

Katy is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations, and on monthly preventatives.

Training & Support

Katy is already house-trained, crate-trained, and knows basic commands. She also has incredible recall. Ongoing socialization and exercise will be key to her continued success.
