Cash

Cash is a handsome 2-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound who spent his life doing what he was bred for – hunting raccoons, and he did it well! He knows his commands, both the basic kind and the working kind. He's crate trained, easy with strangers, and gets along fine with other dogs.

A couple weeks ago, things took a turn for Cash. He got hung up in a beaver hole by his collar and spent two days stuck before anyone found him. He's healed up since, but something hasn't been right. He's lost weight, he's anxious in a way he wasn't before, and his coat is telling the same story his body is. Right now, nobody knows exactly why. He's currently on medication that's helping take the edge off his anxiety, and figuring out the rest is next. That's Cash for now – a good dog with a hard couple of weeks, still working out what comes next.

Ideal Home

Cash would do well in a home where he can get the extra support and understanding he needs as he recovers.

Ongoing Health

Cash is currently on medication to help manage his anxiety, and further diagnostics are underway to determine the cause of his weight loss and coat condition.

Training & Support

Cash is already crate trained and knows basic commands. He is generally good with strangers and other dogs. As he works through his current health and anxiety issues, he will benefit from a patient and supportive environment.
