Eddie

Eddie is a gentle, sweet, and sensitive young Labrador mix, about 1.5 years old and weighing approximately 37 lbs. He was found near his home in Saltillo, Mexico, and rescued to prevent him from returning to life on the streets, much like his sister who sadly passed away. Eddie is a bit shy and may keep his distance initially, but with patience and kindness, he opens up at his own pace. He enjoys walks, is leash-trained, playful, obedient, and affectionate, sometimes offering sweet kisses once he feels safe. He gets along well with other dogs, children, men, and women. Eddie is sensitive to loud noises like fireworks and thunder, so a calm environment would be ideal for him.

Ideal Home

Eddie would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. He needs a patient and understanding environment where he feels secure, as he is sensitive to loud noises. A home with prior experience in dog behavior and training, or a willingness to hire a trainer, is highly recommended.

Ongoing Health

Eddie has received a comprehensive health protocol including: Spay/Neuter Certificate, 2 DHPPI Vaccines, Rabies Vaccine, Bordetella Vaccine, Deworming, Microchip, 4DX Test and Certificate, Negative Heartworm Test Certificate, and monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive protection. He also comes with a Health Certificate and Vaccine Booklet.

Training & Support

Eddie is not house-trained. He requires patience and understanding, especially during an adjustment period, to build trust. Families should be aware that rescued dogs may have fears and anxieties due to past experiences and need time to adapt.

Transportation

Eddie is currently fostered in Saltillo, Mexico. He is available for transport to the East Coast of the United States as part of scheduled cross-country trips. A transport fee of $400 USD covers door-to-door delivery. Regular updates on his journey will be provided.
