Meet Ivy! This super lovable and intelligent 8.5-year-old, 58-pound Aussie mix is looking for her forever home. Ivy has a soft coat that's perfect for petting and a fluffy white tail from her Eskimo dog roots. She absolutely adores belly rubs, following interesting scents, and playing at the park. Ivy also loves wading in water and enjoying a car ride with her head out the window! She previously lived harmoniously with cats and enjoyed walks, snuggles, and playtime in a large yard.

Ideal Home

Ivy needs an adult-only home with a yard. She can potentially live with a resident dog or cat after compatibility is established, but she cannot live with children. Her ideal home will provide routine and consistency, along with opportunities for her to socialize and use her excellent sniffer.

Ivy is a healthy girl with no current health concerns mentioned.

Training & Support

Ivy has a history of resource guarding, which means she can become protective of her food or belongings. It's important that her adopter understands resource guarding, knows how to avoid triggers, and can guide visitors on how to interact with her safely. While she can be tolerant of other dogs at the park, she has a past incident where she bit a guest over dropped food. With experienced guidance and a consistent environment, her adopter will build a meaningful relationship with Ivy.
