Meet Dory! This adorable American Staffordshire Terrier Mix weighs 29 lbs and her estimated birthday is 12/9/2025.

Dory is a sunshine-filled, wiggly puppy with the sweetest smile and the softest heart. Her tail starts wagging the moment she sees someone she loves! While she can be a little shy when meeting new people, a kind voice, a little patience, and some sweet talk will have her true personality shining through in no time. Once she feels safe, she transforms into a full-time wiggle butt who adores attention, cuddles, and being close to her people. She dreams of curling up next to you for snuggles after a fun day of playing! Dory recently met another dog and found making a new friend to be quite exciting. She's more interested in playing than causing trouble, and she believes having a friendly canine sibling could be a lot of fun. Someone to help show her the ropes and build her confidence would be a dream come true. Life hasn't always been easy, but Dory is learning every day that people can be kind, beds can be soft, and love can be forever. She's a puppy discovering how wonderful the world can be and is hoping to find a family to help her grow into the amazing dog she's meant to be. She promises to bring plenty of tail wags, puppy kisses, laughter, and love to her forever home!

Training & Support

Dory is kennel and potty trained. She would benefit from a family who can help her continue to build her confidence. Transportation

Dory is located in Houston, TX, and transport is available out of state. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
