Larry is a delightful 4-year-old beagle who is searching for his forever family. He's already crate-trained and is diligently working on his house training. Larry gets along wonderfully with cats, other dogs, and children. He has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, making him all set to join your home!
Larry enjoys moderate activity, including walks, playing with stuffie toys, and indulging in hard chew toys. He's a great traveler, comfortable in the car, and enjoys meeting new people, small children, and other dogs. He happily settles into his crate when left alone, keeping it clean and dry. Larry absolutely adores cuddle sessions and will happily follow his humans around until he can snuggle up right by their side. He's a funny, cuddly, and playful boy who thrives on love, belly rubs, and affection. Like many beagles, he has a keen interest in exploring new scents. While he's doing well on leash, recent weather has slowed down his progress in perfecting his walking skills. He hasn't had any accidents on lead but does his business in the yard, and his adoptive family will have the opportunity to continue his house training. Larry is beginning to understand commands and is very eager to please. He loves exploring his fenced yard and comes when called. Above all, his favorite activity is simply being near you, whether it's for pets, brushing, or just relaxing together.
Ideal Home
Larry seems very adaptable and should do well in most home environments, including apartments, condos, or houses with a fenced yard. An additional dog and/or older children would be a great addition to his life. He does have a tendency to chew on inappropriate items, so any shoes, remotes, coins, or small objects will need to be carefully put out of his reach.

Larry is crate-trained and working on house training. He needs continued house training and supervision to prevent chewing on inappropriate items.

- Approved applicants will be invited to a meet and greet or adoption event.
- If it's a good fit, you will complete an adoption contract and pay a small adoption fee. Your dog can go home the same day.
Transportation
Larry is located in Piscataway, NJ. We generally adopt to families within a 90-mile radius of our home base, but may consider farther distances in the tri-state region if volunteers are available.
