Dahlia Daisy Flower is an 11-month-old, 35-pound "itty bitty labbie pittie" who is as sweet and delicate as her floral namesake. She's a delightful pup who loves adventures, whether it's a brisk walk in the neighborhood, exploring hiking trails, or even taking a dip in a creek! Dahlia is a social butterfly with other dogs and warms up quickly to people, though she can be a bit shy at first. She's a fantastic copilot in the car and enjoys resting by her human's side while they work. When the day is done, she settles nicely in her crate for the night, and would eventually love to snuggle up on the bed!
Ideal Home
Dahlia would thrive in a home that can provide plenty of exercise and mental stimulation, ideally with another playful dog to be her companion. If her humans work full-time outside the home, regular doggy daycare would be a great option. Homes with shared walls should consider her initial vocalization when left alone in her crate, though she does settle with time. She may do well with respectful children 8 and up who will engage in play with her.
Ongoing Health
Dahlia is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP vaccinations with boosters, Bordetella, and Rabies. She has also received multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. She has been tested for heartworm and is negative. She is microchipped with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Dahlia is crate and house-trained, though she may cry in her crate initially when left alone, requiring patience to re-establish this routine in a new home. She enjoys playing with pinecones and carrying sticks. She has a good appetite and eats at a moderate pace.
