Luna

Luna is a sweet girl who is searching for a quiet and loving home. She's approximately 8 years old and has been a wonderful adventure buddy, enjoying hikes with her current owner. Luna can be a bit shy and worried around new people, especially men, and may bark to protect her space when she feels scared. She has a high prey drive and would not do well in a home with cats or small children due to resource guarding with toys around a baby. Luna is currently on vet-prescribed Prozac to help manage her anxiety. She can get along with other dogs, but may be a bit bossy initially. She also shows leash reactivity towards unfamiliar people and dogs.

Ideal Home

Luna would thrive in a calm home with a yard for her to play in. An active person who enjoys hiking would be a fantastic match! She might do well with another dog if introduced slowly and carefully, but a home without cats or small children is a must.

Ongoing Health

Luna is currently taking Prozac as prescribed by her veterinarian to help with anxiety.

Training & Support

Luna can exhibit leash reactivity and resource guarding. She is also shy with new people and can be protective of her space. Consistent, positive reinforcement and a patient approach will be key to helping her feel more secure.
