About Scout
Scout is an adorable pup with the best eyebrows in town—and now, an academic superstar to match! He's a bundle of energy, curiosity, and pure joy. With his striking black muzzle and expressive brows, Scout is as charming as he is fun-loving. This sweet boy recently went to “school,” where he earned top honors for his academic prowess—proof that he's not just a cutie, but a very smart cookie too! To help him continue shining in his new home, his trainers are generously offering two one-hour training sessions with his adopters, setting everyone up for long-term success.
Scout absolutely loves being with his people. He enjoys humans of all ages, though his enthusiasm may be a bit much for very small children. Whether he's playing with toys or chewing on a bone, Scout likes to stay close to his family—often draped across your legs, soaking up the connection. He's happiest when he's part of the household, fun, engaged, and near those he loves. On sunny days, you'll find him lounging by the storm door, basking in the light and watching the world go by. And if there's water involved? Even better. Scout is a total water baby—if there's a pool nearby, you can bet he'll be in it, living his best life. He's also a regular at doggie daycare and absolutely loves it, making friends and burning off energy with his favorite pals.
Ideal Home
Scout enjoys playing with other dogs but could also be happy as an only dog, as long as he has opportunities to socialize and play. He's a confident pup whose play style is rough-and-tumble, so if there's another dog in the home, he'd do best with a friendly, confident companion who can match his energy. He can be a bit much for very small children. Someone home a good portion of the day would be ideal—long hours in a crate waiting for his people would be tough at his age. A fenced yard would be ideal for burning off energy, but it's not a requirement if his family can provide plenty of activity, playtime, dog friends, daycare, or similar outlets.
Ongoing Health
Scout will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
Training & Support
Scout is crate trained, housebroken, and able to hold it overnight. Like any young, curious dog, he can be a bit mischievous, so supervision outside the crate is helpful. He walks nicely on a leash with his harness, though he may get excited when spotting people or other animals. His trainers are generously offering two one-hour training sessions with his adopters. He'll thrive with a family that provides structure, patience, and consistency as he continues polishing his manners.
