Duke

Meet Duke! This handsome 90lb, almost 3-year-old Great Pyrenees is the epitome of gentle, sweet, and mellow. He's a low-energy, all-around loving guy who just wants to be near his favorite people and furry friends.

Ideal Home

Duke is fantastic with kids of all ages, including babies, and is known for his careful, calm, and gentle demeanor. He loves nothing more than to rest his head on your lap or foot. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, even playful ones, and is unfazed by smaller dogs. Cats are of no interest to him. Duke does enjoy investigating and has been known to steal food if given the chance, so a secured backyard is a must for his roaming tendencies. He also isn't a fan of small spaces. He would prefer to go to a home with another dog as he doesn't seem to have ever lived without canine company.

Ongoing Health

Duke is neutered and up to date on all his vaccines.

Training & Support

Duke is house-trained and does well in the car. He doesn't love walks but will happily accompany you. He is not a fan of crates and will injure himself trying to escape, but he is perfectly content and safe to be left unattended in the home.

Transportation

Duke is currently in a foster home in the DFW area of Texas. Out-of-state adopters will be required to provide transport.
