Meet Mario — The Loving Rascal with a Big Heart

Mario is a delightful 1-year-old, 42 lb mixed breed who is already neutered. He's a playful, affectionate, and smart young dog with a big personality. He loves to lean in for snuggles and charm you with his clever tricks; he knows sit, down, paw, "house," and can even open the front door! Mario thrives around people and other dogs, though he can be a bit protective of toys or treats when other dogs are nearby. He has never shown aggression to people, even when something is taken from his mouth. He walks beautifully on a leash with minimal pulling and loves to play outdoors. Mario is potty trained to use indoor pee pads. He does have some separation anxiety and will bark or cry if left completely alone, but he does great if he has a dog friend by his side. He’s full of energy, full of love, and ready for a home that will keep up with his playful spirit and give him the companionship he craves.

Ideal Home

A fenced yard and a doggy sibling would be ideal for this sweet, smart boy. Mario is not good with cats and has had no past exposure to kids.

Ongoing Health

Mario is already neutered and up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Mario is house-trained to use indoor pee pads and is crate trained. He knows basic commands. Mario barks at delivery trucks and will chase bugs and cats if off-leash. He has some separation anxiety and will bark or cry if left completely alone, but he does great if he has a dog friend by his side.
