Alder

Alder is a handsome 3-year-old Great Pyrenees mix who came to us from Texas, where the stray dog population is overwhelming. He is one of the lucky ones who made it out and is on his way to finding a loving, forever home.

Alder is a shy but friendly gentleman. He wants to show his excitement, but he's not 100% sure how to. He likely wasn't given much affection or attention, but he definitely craves it. We suspect he'll master the Pyr paw in no time!

Ideal Home

Alder would thrive in a home with a calmer, playful dog who can help him come out of his shell. He seems interested in playing with other dogs but is a bit unsure. He is good with cats and mild-mannered enough for a home with kids beyond the screeching years. A fenced yard would be ideal, but he does walk well on a leash. Alder is not a dog who will stay close to home if let outside unsupervised.
