Meet Penny!

Penny is a resilient and loving teenage pup with a heart of gold. She came to us after an injury, which left her with one eye, but she's adapted beautifully and navigates life with growing confidence. She's a high-energy dog who thrives on mental stimulation and daily exercise. Penny already knows "sit," "lay down," and is even crate-trained, tucking herself in at night! While she's a loyal and devoted companion once she trusts you, she can be a little nervous around new faces and unfamiliar situations. Penny gets car sick, so she prefers local adventures and walks directly to her destination. A home with a yard would be wonderful, or an active family that can provide plenty of exercise.

Ideal Home

Penny would do best in an active, patient home with kids 12 and older who can respect her space. She gets along great with dogs of all sizes and has done well with dog-savvy cats. Another confident dog in the home would be a great companion to help her adjust, but she would also be happy as a solo dog.

Ongoing Health

Penny has adjusted well to life with one eye following a past injury.

Training & Support

Penny is a smart girl who already knows "sit" and "lay down," and she is crate-trained. She can be nervous around new people and situations, but with patience and positive reinforcement, she builds trust and becomes fiercely loyal.
