Gracie

Gracie is a happy, loveable, and wonderful hound mix with a heart as big as her personality. She's dog-friendly and has yet to meet a pup she didn't like. Kids? Yep, she likes them too! Strangers? She doesn't know the meaning of the word; everyone is instantly her new best friend. She wags her nubby tail when she sees you because she's very excited to meet people! You're going to love this girl! Gracie is house-trained, listens well, and has impressive recall. She even rings bells on the doorknob to let you know when she needs to go outside! She has become a wonderful companion on daily walks and is good on leash. Gracie would do well as an only dog or as part of a doggy family, though she'd likely be happiest with a four-legged friend to share life with. Like many hounds, she's curious, clever, and always interested in what's going on! She also loves to chew, so a good supply of toys and chews will keep her happy and occupied. Gracie is good in the car, but it's still new to her, and she's adjusting to travel.

Ideal Home

A fenced yard (4 ft or higher) is important for Gracie so she can run, play, and burn off energy while she becomes fully comfortable with daily leash walks. Gracie hasn't had the chance to meet cats yet, so that remains an unknown.

Ongoing Health

Gracie is heartworm positive, and our rescue will treat her.

Training & Support

Gracie is house-trained, listens well, and has impressive recall. She rings the bells on the door knob to tell us she has to go outside. She is good on leash and is still adjusting to car rides, as she can still get car sick.
