Peabody

Peabody is a charming 2-3 year old French Bulldog who came to us as an unclaimed stray. He's a curious boy who enjoys the simple pleasures of life, like munching on dandelions and exploring the world with his nose. Peabody is a social butterfly with other dogs, approaching them with no hesitation. However, his enthusiasm can sometimes be a bit much for other pups, as he can be a tad forward in his interactions.

Ideal Home

Peabody would thrive in a home that understands and appreciates the unique characteristics of flat-faced breeds. Because he has a tendency to playfully nip at the feet or pants of visitors when he's comfortable, he's not recommended for homes with young children or families who aren't prepared to work on this behavior.

Ongoing Health

Peabody is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on his DHPP, Bordatella, and Rabies vaccines. He has tested negative for heartworm and has had a negative fecal test. He is also on preventatives.

Training & Support

Peabody is still learning his house manners and can be a bit too enthusiastic when greeting visitors. Patience and gentle guidance will be key to helping him refine his social skills. We recommend researching the transition stages pets go through after adoption (3 days, 3 weeks, 3 months) to better understand and support Peabody as he settles into his new home.

Transportation

Peabody is currently with a foster in the Burnsville area. Inquire if he will be attending upcoming adoption events on Saturdays from 11 AM - 2 PM at the PetSmart locations in Burnsville, Cottage Grove, or Forest Lake.
