Niles

Niles is a sweet cuddle bug who, despite only having three legs, is not slowed down one bit! He's fantastic with all people, including children of all ages and seniors. He often sleeps in his foster's 5-year-old child's bed and will try to snuggle in anyone's lap. Niles also loves car rides, though he'll need a little help getting in and out. He's a velcro dog who builds strong bonds and will follow you everywhere. Niles is approximately 5 years old.

Ideal Home

Niles would thrive in a home without other dogs, as he has a past of being dog-aggressive without warning. He's also not recommended for a home with cats. Due to his tripod status, carpeted floors and a home with few stairs would be ideal, as stairs can be more challenging for him, though he can manage them with encouragement. A home where someone is frequently present is best, as he experiences separation anxiety when left alone.

Ongoing Health

Niles is a tripod and while it doesn't slow him down, care should be taken around very small children due to his size.

Training & Support

Niles is crate trained and will use his crate when no one is home. He can typically be left for a maximum of 5-6 hours before needing to go outside. He is house-trained, but may have occasional accidents in his crate. He enjoys short daily walks, about a mile, and then is ready to relax.
