Meet Smokey, a charming 2-year-old male Cane Corso/Weimaraner mix who came to us as a stray. Weighing 60 pounds, Smokey is fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and brimming with love to give! He's a smart, quick learner with a super sweet disposition, described by his foster as "kind-hearted" and "affectionate." Smokey enjoys a good snuggle and quiet time, happily curling up beside you for gentle companionship. He's a total couch potato who loves relaxing with his people.
Ideal Home
Smokey would thrive in a home without cats. He would also do best in a low-traffic environment due to his initial shyness with new people. A house rather than an apartment would be ideal, especially since he experiences some separation anxiety. A home with someone who works from home or is only away for a few hours a day would be perfect.
Ongoing Health
Smokey is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Smokey is fully potty trained and walks well on a leash, though he may pull slightly out of excitement initially before settling down. He can be a little nervous around strangers and might bark out of excitement, but he is easily redirected. Smokey is not a huge fan of crates and prefers not to be shut in. He does experience some separation anxiety and will cry for a bit when left alone, though he does not tear up belongings and eventually settles. A doggie companion would be wonderful, as he loves playing with other dogs and is very submissive during play.
