Olivia is a 2-3 year old, 40 lb female Weimaraner mix who was rescued in Saltillo, Mexico in September 2023. She was found in urgent need of rescue with a possible spinal or hip injury, having been abandoned by her owners. Despite her past trauma, Olivia is a happy, affectionate, and incredibly funny dog who makes the most of every day. She is independent, full of life, and loves to bring joy to those around her. Olivia shows immense gratitude for her new life and is eager to share her love and attention with her forever family.
Ideal Home
Olivia would do best as the only dog in the home. She needs a home with a fenced backyard and a family who understands the needs of rescued animals, offering patience and education. Previous experience with dog behavior and training is highly recommended. A family willing to give a rescued pet at least three months to show their best personality is essential.
Ongoing Health
Olivia had a possible spinal or hip injury and was treated for malnutrition and ticks. She is up-to-date on all vaccinations (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), is spayed/neutered, and has been dewormed. She is microchipped and receives monthly Nexgard Spectra for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
Training & Support
Olivia is not house-trained and will require ongoing training and patience in this area. Her adopters should be prepared to provide consistent guidance and support.

Transportation
Olivia is currently fostered in Saltillo, Mexico. She is available for transport to the East Coast of the United States. A transport fee of $400.00 will be paid by the adopter prior to departure, and the service will be provided by a transport company, delivering to the adopter's home address.
