Willow (Chihuahua)

Willow is an 11-year-old, 23 lb sweetheart of a chihuahua mix who, despite her age, has plenty of spark and curiosity! She's a spunky and determined lady who knows she deserves to be treated like royalty. Willow can be a little slow to trust, so building a secure and confident relationship with her takes time and a gentle approach. Once she bonds with you, she is an incredibly sweet, lovable, and loyal companion who will be by your side. She enjoys car rides, stroller adventures, and short walks, and gets along well with other dogs and cats, though she might bark a little to let them know she's around. Willow is also playful, affectionate, obedient, house-trained, and adaptable, quickly settling into a routine and your heart.

Ideal Home

Willow would thrive in a calm home where she can be someone’s cherished friend and constant companion. She's looking for a person to be her #1 and only. She does best with a gentle, patient approach while she's getting to know you.

Ongoing Health

Willow has arthritis in one of her back legs, which requires a daily medication. This medication is affordable and easily available with a prescription. Her age also means she enjoys extra nap time!

Training & Support

Willow has limited sight and hearing, so a gentle approach is best. She has shown some food insecurity and does best when fed with a "slow feeder bowl."
