Lemon Cake is a beautiful 62 lb Pitbull mix. She's a sturdy gal with a heart twice as big as her chest, the perfect size for long car rides, big hugs, and taking up exactly half of your bed (or all of it!). She is a velvet soft beauty who is 100% purebred Good Girl.
Ideal Home
Lemon Cake would thrive in a home where she isn't left alone for too long, as she misses her people dearly. A home with a yard where she can sniff the roses would be wonderful, though she'd be fine in a quiet apartment. She's a total "Daddy's Girl" in the making and greets new people with big kisses.
Ongoing Health
Lemon is a healthy girl. All vetting is included in the adoption fee, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, and a microchip with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Lemon Cake is crate trained, knows her "sit," and is highly motivated by treats. She knows the front door is the portal to the potty and is ready to go as soon as the leash is on. When it comes to other dogs, Lemon is aloof and independent, often preferring to sniff the grass or hang out by her people rather than join in on play. She would be a fantastic match for a home with another medium to low energy dog who respects her space, but she's also perfectly content being your one and only. While she hasn't spent much time around cats, we can arrange a kitty sleepover to see if she's ready for a purring roommate.

Lemon is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, and connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
