Mabel is a 2.5-year-old, 64-pound pit bull mix who is spayed and vaccinated. She was found abandoned and frightened but has blossomed into a sweet, affectionate girl who adores people. Mabel's favorite activities include snuggling, giving kisses, going for car rides, and being the center of attention. She's wonderful with children, including those with special needs, and has a remarkable capacity for patience and sweetness. Mabel enjoys playing with other medium to large dogs and is learning to manage her excitement during playtime. She also makes great progress with leash manners, though she can get excited when she sees other dogs. Mabel would thrive in a home with a playful, tolerant dog or as the sole cherished pet. She would likely do best in a home without cats. Mabel is not destructive when left unsupervised and prefers to sleep cuddled with her humans rather than in a crate. She may need a little extra patience and support during vet visits and procedures.

Transporation
Mabel is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas. Once matched with an approved adopter, she is ready to transport out of state to her forever home on the next available transport.
