Chips is an intelligent, observant boy who is making his way to us from our rescue partners. After being rescued from a shelter, he is ready for a fresh start and the opportunity to find a family of his own. Chips can be cautious when meeting new people, but once he feels comfortable, his playful and energetic personality shines through. He loves the company of other dogs and enjoys playing with his canine friends. He is an active boy who loves exploring, going for walks, and being involved in his surroundings. Chips is a very smart and curious dog who likes to keep track of his surroundings. He is also an escape artist and will look for opportunities to explore, so a secure home and close supervision are important. A tracker is highly recommended to help keep him safe. In return, Chips offers loyalty, fun, and the companionship of a clever, energetic dog who is ready to find his forever family.
Ideal Home
Chips would thrive with an active family who enjoys walks, adventures, and having a dog who wants to participate in daily life. He would do best with someone who understands the Husky personality and can provide structure, enrichment, and patience. He is not recommended with cats. Older children, 9+, are preferred.
Ongoing Health
Chips is currently heartworm positive and will require continued treatment and care.
Training & Support
Chips has high but manageable energy levels. He is intelligent and observant and enjoys walks and outdoor activities. He has excellent potty habits in his kennel environment, but crate and house training are still a work in progress. He is not a couch potato and loves staying active and engaged.
