Miranda

Miranda is a lovely approximately 1 year and 9 month-old Caramelo Dog / Labrador Retriever mix, weighing around 46 pounds. She's a real sweetheart who forms strong bonds with her people and enjoys staying aware of her surroundings, which means she'll bark if she senses something is wrong. Miranda is affectionate, energetic, and has a naturally protective nature. She was rescued after being found wandering the streets of Houston, and thankfully, found temporary safety before being fully rescued. Now, she's ready for a loving, stable forever home where she can truly feel secure.

Ideal Home

Miranda would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard, with families who enjoy outdoor activities, and who have an open mind about the needs and behaviors of rescued street animals. Experience with dog behavior and training, along with a high level of patience for rescued pups, is essential.

Ongoing Health

Miranda has been spayed/neutered and is up-to-date on her DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccines. She has also been dewormed and has a heartworm test certificate and health certificate, along with a vaccine booklet.

Training & Support

Miranda is crate trained and walks well on a leash. While she is house-trained, it's important to note that the rescue organization cannot guarantee house-training for all fostered pets due to the sheer number of animals they care for. She may need some time to feel comfortable in new situations as she can be a little nervous initially.

Transportation

Miranda is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas, and is ready to travel to the East Coast and the Pacific Northwest if adopted. A transport fee of $400.00, to be paid by the adopter prior to departure, will be required for this service.
