Princess is a delightful 4-year-old spayed female Terrier Pittie mix, with a heart full of joy and energy! She was once slated for euthanasia simply for being too energetic and happy, but thankfully, she was saved and is now in a loving foster home. Princess is up-to-date on all her shots, heartworm negative, and on monthly prevention. She is crate and house-trained, and while she was initially very energetic, she has settled down nicely now that she knows she is safe and loved. She absolutely adores car rides and squeaky toys! Princess is a smart girl who knows her commands, but her excitement can lead to jumping for attention. With a gentle correction and a request to "sit," she'll happily comply. She thrives on positive reinforcement and is looking for a family who will cherish her happy spirit. As an avid chewer, she needs appropriate outlets like Kongs and bully sticks to keep her happy and prevent her from chewing on household items, much like a puppy. She also uses her barks to communicate her needs, whether it's to go potty or receive some love.
Ideal Home
Princess would thrive in an active home with older children, as her exuberance might be overwhelming for very young ones. An active couple or an active single person would also be a great fit. She needs a securely fenced yard and is not suited for apartment living. She can be the only pet or would do well with a canine companion who can match her energy and zest for life.

Training & Support
Princess knows basic commands like sit, come, stay, and off. She is also learning to heel for leash walking and takes treats very well. While she understands the need to sit for attention, she may still jump when excited. Consistent positive reinforcement and continued practice with her commands will help her refine this. Providing plenty of chew toys is essential for her enjoyment and to redirect any chewing behaviors.
