Rocky is a lucky boy who was just saved from the shelter and is now dreaming of a long-term foster or forever home. This handsome, black-and-brown Doberman Pinscher mix is about 3 years old, neutered, and a solid 85 lbs of sweetness and smarts.

Rocky first came to the shelter in 2023 at 13 weeks old with his sister. He was adopted and thought he found his forever home. Then, in 2026, he lost his puppyhood home, along with his 3 canine sisters and brother. After waiting months to find a new home, he was rescued on his last day to save his life by the same rescuer who saved his German Shepherd sister. They couldn't let Rocky be the only dog from his former family who didn't too find a home.

Rocky shared a home with two shepherds and a small terrier, and he's shown us what a resilient, friendly soul he is. He loves to play, enjoys his walks, and is ready to bond with his people. With his easy-going nature, he may do well sharing a home with another respectful canine companion.

Ideal Home

Long-term foster or adopter who can offer structure, exercise, and affection. A yard or regular walks for this athletic, gentle goofball. Another well-matched dog is a plus, with proper introductions.

Rocky is neutered.

Training & Support

Walks nicely on leash. Appears to be potty trained and settles in quickly with routine. Rocky is dog-social and has shared a kennel successfully with a spayed Cairn Terrier mix along with his former male and female shepherd housemates. He is friendly and playful, a joyful presence who's eager to please. Rocky is ready for a fresh start and stable, loving homes help him shine.
