About Greta

Greta is a sweet and gentle Labrador Mix girl, approximately 7 years old and weighing around 66 lbs. She's house-trained, using a designated spot for her business, and is also crate-trained, making her a well-mannered companion. While Greta can be shy and a bit fearful when she first meets new people, she blossoms into a super friendly dog once she feels safe. She adores having her head petted and will often offer her paw as a thank you! Greta is an active dog who enjoys running and moving around, and she would thrive in a calm, peaceful home where she can receive both gentle reassurance and regular exercise.

Ideal Home

Greta would do best in a home with a fenced backyard, an active family that enjoys outdoor activities, and individuals who are truly committed to rescuing a dog. She needs a family with an open mind about the behaviors of street animals that require protection and education, and ideally, experience with dog behavior and training or a willingness to hire a trainer. High tolerance and patience are essential for Greta's adjustment period.

Ongoing Health

Greta has undergone a comprehensive health protocol including being spayed, receiving DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, and microchipping. She has tested negative for heartworm and 4DX. She is up-to-date on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention with Nexgard Spectra.

Training & Support

It is important to understand that Greta, like many rescued dogs, may have experienced trauma and will require an adjustment period. While she is house-trained, it's noted that rescued pets may not always be potty-trained. Patience, understanding, and providing a safe, loving environment with a consistent routine and clear boundaries will be crucial for her to build trust and feel secure.
