Veda Water Loving Sweetheart

Meet Veda! This perfectly playful puppy's entire approach to life is: "Wait... we can PLAY in that too?!" Mud puddles? Amazing. New dog friends? Incredible. Couch cuddles afterward? Best day ever. This girl is pure sunshine wrapped in velvet fur and giant, mismatched ears. One ear stands straight up, while the other flops dramatically to the side, making her look like a cartoon character brought to life.

Veda launches herself into life with joy. During her assessment, she discovered a flooded muddy yard and immediately decided it was the greatest place on earth, splashing and rolling around with all the other dogs. She would absolutely LOVE an adventurous home for hiking, beach days, camping, or just long walks exploring new places. Veda is curious, playful, outgoing, and thrilled to be included in everything. But beneath all the puppy chaos, she's also a huge cuddle bug, melting into affection after playtime. She has an amazing balance of being an energetic athlete and a soft, sweet snuggle baby.

Veda LOVES dogs! She greets every dog with adorable play bows and is great at adjusting her play style. She has great daycare energy, being playful without being rude and reading social cues well. Her cat test was also very cute; she was sweet, respectful, and curious, even exchanging face licks with the cat. While she'd need further testing, she shows great potential for a kitty-friendly home. Veda could do well in an apartment with an active family, but she would absolutely thrive in a home where she gets to explore and play. Bonus points if there's water nearby! She met a child briefly and was super sweet and excited. Given her playful puppy energy and tendency to jump when excited, we recommend older or dog-savvy kiddos while she continues learning manners.

Veda is currently in a loving foster home, thriving and showing more of her beautiful personality daily. She is very treat-motivated, which will make training a rewarding experience. Veda feels like one of those dogs that turns ordinary life into fun with her adventurous, affectionate, and joyful spirit.

Veda would thrive in a home with water nearby, but could also do well in an apartment with an active family. We recommend older or dog-savvy children due to her playful puppy nature and tendency to jump when excited.

Training & Support

Veda is treat-motivated and eager to please, which will make training a rewarding experience. She is learning manners and we can conduct further kid testing for potential adopters.

Transporation

Veda is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide using our rescue-run USDA certified transport system. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
