Bourbon is still learning to trust and can be nervous in new situations, but he finds comfort and confidence around other dogs. Having a canine friend in his forever home would be a huge plus for him!
Bourbon's story is one of resilience. He and his mama, a Chihuahua, were found living outside with their newborn puppies. His dad is a neighbor's scruffy white dog, which likely contributes to Bourbon's unique and adorable look. Because of his past, he needs a loving home that understands and can provide gentle guidance as he adjusts to a life of comfort and security. He was born in May 2024.
Ideal Home
Bourbon is considered a flight risk and needs a home committed to making him feel safe. This includes careful introductions, a securely fenced yard, and extra precautions to help him build confidence. A home with a confident canine companion would be ideal to help him learn and feel more secure.
Ongoing Health
Bourbon is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and flea/heartworm prevention. A veterinary health exam will be completed and a certificate issued within 10 days of adoption.
Training & Support
Bourbon is still learning to trust and can be nervous in new situations. He'll benefit from continued patience, understanding, and guidance as he adjusts to his new life. He is also a flight risk and requires extra precautions to ensure his safety.

- Our out-of-state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, and a veterinary health exam.
